Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 May 2026

1. Who you're contracting with

These Terms govern your use of World Engine (the "Service"), operated by Neil Lawlor (the "Seller", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. The Service

World Engine is a generative-AI tool that produces simulated worlds, scenarios and related content from your prompts and inputs. The Service is provided on an "as available" basis without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free performance.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, harassing, deceptive or infringing purpose;
  • generate content that is illegal, that depicts minors sexually, that incites violence or hate, that contains malware, or that is intended to deceive (including non-consensual deepfakes);
  • attempt to jailbreak, reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its security;
  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its outputs except as expressly permitted.

4. Generated content (AI outputs)

You are responsible for the prompts you submit, for how you use the outputs, and for verifying their accuracy before relying on them. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased and are not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial or otherwise). You must hold the necessary rights to any input you provide. We may filter, refuse, or remove outputs and may suspend accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms or applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

We retain all right, title and interest in the Service, the underlying software, models, branding and documentation. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service on the plan you have selected. As between you and us, you retain rights in your prompts; you grant us a limited licence to host and process your prompts and outputs solely to operate the Service.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated policy violations. Where access ends, you may export your data for a reasonable window before deletion, except where retention is required by law.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your prompts, outputs, unlawful use of the Service, or breach of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless local mandatory law provides otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date.

12. Contact

For questions about these Terms or the Service, contact Neil Lawlor at the email address associated with your account or via Paddle (paddle.net) for billing matters.
